We know who won the awards, but who was best dressed at the Oscars?
The Oscars always forces the stars bring out their fashion A-game and last night’s Academy Awards was no exception. From Lupita Nyong’o wowing in blue to Angelina Jolie shimmering in gold, this year’s Oscars red carpet was a fashionista’s dream which brought out the best dressed in tinsletown for one star studded catwalk.
Lupita Nyong'o, star of 12 Years A Slave
First up has to be best supporting actress winner Lupita Nuong’o who lived up to her reputation as our newest fashion icon with her stunning blue custom Prada gown. She told E! reporter Ryan Seacrest that she chose the colour because it reminded her ‘of the Nairobi sky.’ The Kenyan actress was definitely having a princess moment as she couldn't stop playing with the floaty dress as she sashayed down the red carpet.
Jennifer Lawrence opted for a combination that always makes her look hot on the red carpet, red and Dior. Last year's winner got it right once again in her form fitting dress, however she once again suffered a trip up as she quite literally fell on the red carpet, luckily moments like that are why we love J-Law.

Best Actress winner Cate Blanchett wore a breathtaking embroidered Georgio Armani gown. The nude frock featuring sliver beaded detailing, the actress described it as heavy, however we think it was worth its weight as Cate looked stunning.
Angelina Jolie also turned heads in her shimmering metallic Elie Sabb dress. The actress, who usually opts for darker gowns, looked radiant as she took to the red carpet alongside husband Brad Pitt. Bringing some vintage glamour, Kate Hudson sent jaws dropping in her plunging white Atelier Versace gown. The actress looked every inch the Hollywood superstar in the sultry dress, which also featured a draped back detail.

Anne Hathaway showed how to liven up a black gown with her Gucci creation which featured a metallic front. Charlize Theron turned heads in her black Dior gown which had a rather impressive train. Another star who showed off in black was ‘Wolf of Wall Street’s’ Margot Robbie, who oozed vintage glamour in her Saint Laurent gown which featured bow detailing at the back.
Oliva Wilde showed that being 7 months pregnant is no obstacle to glamour by wearing a black Valentino gown with backless detail. Hermionie Granger no more, Emma Watson made her Oscar’s debut in a floor length Vera Wang gown which sparkled at the top and had a black fishtailed bottom.
