Nice Fish, the new West End play co-written by and starring Oscar winner Mark Rylance is giving you a chance to score free tickets to a performance, but there’s a catch. For each performance four members of the public will be given a free ticket for a private box...if they come dressed as a fish.

The show’s website states that those who come dressed as a fish or fisherman (with their fishing rod), will hook themselves a complimentary ticket in a private box. The tickets are available on a first come first served basis from 6pm on the night of the performance or 1.30pm for matinee.

It might the only chance some will get to score tickets, which will go on sale to the general public at 10am on July 10. The play is only coming to London for a limited 10 week run in November, after selling out during its New York season earlier this year.

Nice Fish stars Rylance and Jim Lichtscheidl as two old friends who take a fishing trip to a frozen Minnesota lake. It was written by Rylance and American poet Louis Jenkins, with the actor drawing on his own experiences as a teenager in the American Midwest.

It will be directed by Rylance’s wife Claire van Kampen, who previously directed her husband in his last West-End outing, the Olivier-nominated Farinelli and the King in 2015.
