Matt Damon wants to be in the next 'Bourne' film.

The 41-year-old actor played Jason Bourne in the first three movies of the franchise and while Jeremy Renner has taken on the role in the latest instalment, 'The Bourne Legacy', Matt says he would like to do another one alongside the 'Avengers Assemble' star.

He said: ''If they had a script, I'd love it. [Director] Paul [Greengrass] and I have talked about doing another one for years. We just never could find a story that we felt was good enough. And if we could, then we'd do it. We love the character, we love the world and I'd love to do it. We'll see what happens.''

Matt says he's a big fan of Jeremy - who plays Aaron Cross in Tony Gilroy's upcoming film, which parallels the plot of 'The Bourne Ultimatum' - and thinks he's ''awesome'' in the latest movie.

He told website Screen Rant: ''He's awesome, and you know, he's one of my favorite actors and I believe him in that world. When Paul and I talked about maybe doing one, years ago, where we pass it off to somebody so the franchise can continue with someone else, Renner was the first guy that we talked about.''
