Morrissey has pulled out of his upcoming tour dates across America after his mother was rushed to hospital for unknown reasons.
The former Smiths frontman has pulled out of all forthcoming US shows, including one at Minneapolis' Orpheum Theatre that was scheduled to take place this coming Monday (Oct 29).
According to a press release issued by the singer's PR, "Morrissey has returned to England where his mother has been hospitalized and is unwell. Due to issues with his mother's health, Morrissey will need to remain by her side during this difficult period."
All dates will be rescheduled at a more convenient time for him, however he has also promised that any ticketholders wishing to be refunded will be given the full ticket price back should they desire a refund.
Morrissey recently dismissed the latest batch of rumours surrounding a Smiths reunion in the near future, with a spokesperson for the singer telling the Rolling Stone: "The Smiths are never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to reunite - ever," earlier this month.
The band's former guitarist, Johnny Marr, also refuted the claims when they re-emerged earlier this month after it was claimed that Coachella organisers had proposed that the festival would go vegetarian should the band reform, although not nearly as vehemently.
