Single Review

Lead Balloons are set to release their new double A side single Don't Let That Go To Waste and Somethin' You Say. The thing about the rainy city (Manchester) it always seems to produce great artists in so many different genres. From Oasis to Badly Drawn Boy, back in the day and the equivalent of today you could say is The Courteeners and these guys.

The Lead Balloons are a quirky pop feel fronted with an acoustic guitar. Lead singer Pierre Hall also has a really distinctive sound to his vocals, which just adds to the music. Although Don't Let That Go To Waste is fronted by an acoustic guitar, don't let that put you off because there are some great riffs and drum beats to it.

The second part of the double A side has that "feel good factor" to it and if it is possible there is a warmth that radiates from this tune. There is no doubt that these guys are an interesting prospect and it will be interesting to see what an album would sound like, because although this sound is great on a single ten tracks of the same could do your head in.
