Alex Skarsgard admitted he ''loves'' being a sex symbol.

The 'True Blood' actor - who has been romantically linked to Alexa Chung - doesn't Google himself or think holding the title as World's Sexiest man a few times is ''important'', but he thinks it's ''really lovely'' if someone thinks you are ''good-looking''.

Asked if he is worthy of the title Sweden's Sexiest Man, he said: ''I don't know. I never Google myself or read blogs, so I don't really keep track of any of that. I'm not trying to say I don't care about it, because of course it's lovely if someone thinks you're a good actor or good-looking.''

However, the 38-year-old hunk doesn't think it would do him ''any good'' to keep track of his position in the sexy lists as ''it's trivial''.

He told Notebook magazine: ''Well, we are human, so of course we are going to love that kind of title. I'm not trying to pretend I don't, but it's not important at the end of the day. It wouldn't do me any good if I was constantly look at where I end up on that sexy list, or if I slipped down the list and stressed out about why that was. One day you're popular and the next day you're not. It's trivial.''
