English band, Carlito, have released their new single, Dreams. The now five-piece rock band born in Kingston, London - but arranged from all over the place - have been attracting attention with their honest brand of frenetic rock, and are set for a big summer following the release of their new single, which you can listen to below.

Jack Dodd, Laurence Stevens, Tommy Cruickshanks, Pearl Mabarutse and Juan Carlos Vasquez find their influences in The Stone Roses – the band that galvanised their efforts into a quintet – and replicate the 60’s guitar pop that precedes their sound. Dreams is described by the band on their website as “a kick in the face that you will actually like and most likely love.”

The band have been circling the live scene for a few years now, and have accumulated interest from Merc clothing – who have laden the boys with fresh threads – and a support spot for Palma Violets - whose first single, "Best of Friends", was voted NME's song of the year for 2012.

“Carlito thrive when performing live; the lead singers energetic presence and vocals layered over heavy drum beats and intelligent riffs put everyone on a high,” said Gigwise of one of their many live shows. You can catch them live in Islington on July 14th to see what all the fuss is about. Tickets are available here.
