The 27 year-old actor recently confessed to not knowing that he was called Christopher for the first 11 years of his life.
'Game of Thrones' Star Kit Harrington has recently revealed a very bizarre fact about himself.
The British actor, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, is now becoming one of Hollywood's hottest stars after landing roles in big movies such as 'Pompeii' and 'How To Train A Dragon 2.'
But before all this fame, who was Kit Harrington?
It turns out that the 27 year-old didn't know either, during an interview with Glamour Harrington confessed that he didn't know his first name until he turned 11 years-old...but why?
"I haven't got a clue! I think they could see that I wanted to be Kit, but Christopher was a bit of a tradition," he told the mag.
Adding, "My brother's name is Jack, but his real name is John. Kit is traditionally an offshoot of Christopher, it's just not used that often. My middle name is Catesby."
It seems this isn't the only strange aspect of his life, Harrington recently appeared on 'Live with Kelly and Michael' and revealed that his famous shoulder-length hair has a separate contact, forbidding him to cut it.

''It has its own contract, definitely," Harrington said. "I never thought I'd say that about my own hair ... I'm not allowed to cut it, and I didn't realise this until recently. I wanted to cut it - I've had long hair for ages - and they were like, 'No, no, no. That won't be happening.'"
But until he can give his curls a cut, the London-born actor isn't bothered about how it looks.

"I actually don't do much to my hair," he added to Glamour. "It gets fussed over a lot on projects because there's a lot of it and it's boy's hair, but as far as me, I tend to let it do what it wants.
