Paltrow makes her children take the bus to school

The 41 year-old actress, who shares two children with her estranged husband Chris Martin, appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Wednesday (Sept 3rd), and revealed her daughter Apple, 10, and son Moses, 8, travel to school just like any other ordinary child.

"It was great!" she told Kimmel about their first school day. "They seemed really happy. They got off the bus and they were smiling, they have backpacks! This is their first year on the bus. They take the bus and then I pick them up at the bus stop."

"It's pretty cute," Paltrow added. "They feel very independent."

The Oscar-winning actress also went on to recount her own bizarre experiences at an alternative school, which consisted of morning meditation sessions in the 4th grade, and in 5th grade morning rituals of listening to Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing.'

Meanwhile, during the same interview the Paltrow also revealed that she nearly made her very first film debut alongside '90s rapper, Vanilla Ice, until a disgruntled parent stepped in to forbid it from happening.
