Mitch Lurker died on Wednesday (October, 31) after a motorbike accident, his band Suicide Silence confirmed to fans on their Facebook profile.
"There's no easy way to say this," read the statement, which received over 60,000 'likes' and over 8,000 comments of condolence. "Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts." The status continued to say: "R.I.P. Mitchell Adam Lucker - We Love You Brother". Lucker was the frontman for Suicide Silence since the band began in 2002. He leaves behind a young daughter Kenadee. The band have three studio albums, and their last offering, The Black Crown released in 2011, their most successful, reaching the top 30 of the Billboard 200.
"A statement from the band's record label, Nucleur Blast, reads: "It is with great sadness and regret this morning that we have to report that Mitch Lucker, vocalist of SUICIDE SILENCE, passed away a few hours ago due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. NUCLEAR BLAST would like to offer our condolences to his family, friends, band members and fans worldwide who are affected by this loss. He left us doing what he loved to do most.
