Scheana Shay craves "validation" from her friends.

The 'Vanderpump Rules' star has denied being "jealous" of Ariana Madix's recent run of success - but Scheana has confessed to wanting validation from her friends and romantic partners.

Scheana, 39, said on the 'Vanderpump Rules' reunion episode: "I don’t think it is jealousy. It is a feeling of being left out.

"Call me a pick-me, whatever the f*** you want to say. I do like feeling that validation - not just from men - but from my friends.

"As she was getting all this opportunity, I didn’t want her to forget about me. I wanted to be on the journey with her."

Ariana, 38, made her Broadway debut and became the new host of 'Love Island USA', following her acrimonious split from Tom Sandoval in 2023.

Reflecting on Ariana's successes, Scheana said: "She’s busier than she’s ever been. Even before we started filming, I did feel distance. I know you have done that to other people in your life who are close to you as well so I know it is not just me."

Meanwhile, Ariana recently admitted that she's created new boundaries in a bid to protect her mental health.

The TV star split from Tom last year, after it was revealed that he had a months-long affair with Rachel Leviss, and Ariana confessed to creating new boundaries in her life in an effort to protect herself from more anguish.

She told E! News: "I'm proud of myself for really learning to manage my anxiety in a better way. I think that's brought me a lot of peace. And peace is tough to come by, so I'm happy to be on a better side of that."
