One Direction have revealed that they would like follow the example of Take That and take a ten year hiatus just so they can have a huge comeback.

The boyband, who are Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, have no doubt sent a flurry of panic not to mention fury through their devoted fanbase who would rather not have to put their 1D obsession on hold for a whole decade. However, the young lads seem unwavering about their decision - at least we hope - as Niall commented to British tabloid paper The Mirror: 'We want to be like Take That or Gary Barlow - take ten years out and then come back.'

One has to comment on the self-assuredness of this statement - after all, who knows if anyone will be interested after 10 years. They may be huge stars at the moment but Take That managed four years with eight number one singles, two number one albums and four BRITs before they took a break and 1D have only managed one number one album, two number one singles and one BRIT award and are already considering a hiatus. Though I can't imagine the Non-Direction fans of the world are complaining.
