The band’s website tricked fans into thinking they might be about to make a comeback.
One Direction fans thought the day they’d been waiting for had finally arrived yesterday, when an update on the band’s website seemed to suggest their hiatus was over. However it appears the fan’s celebrations were a little premature and there’s still no sign of when the band will be back. But they do have some new t-shirts.
One Direction aren't back…yet
It all started when the band’s official website added a ‘Future Events’ section, causing fans to immediately think that show announcements were imminent. Almost immediately fans on Twitter started freaking out and the hashtag #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection began trending.

‘When you were starting to loose hope but they added the 'future events' tab,’ wrote one fan. Another added: ‘To all the haters that said One Direction won't come back #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection.’ While a different fan wrote: ‘They said 1D was over. They said they wouldn’t come back. Well look where we are now.’
But the party was soon over when the Future Events section was quickly removed from the website. However the site does have some new t-shirts on sale, featuring each individual band member painted in a watercolour style.
Recently Simon Cowell spoke about the boy’s various solo projects since beginning their hiatus earlier this year. “I hear so many things now, which they’re doing, which I’m not involved with. It’s a bit like I’m getting the hint you don’t want me to come to the party. Sorry for making you famous,” he said.

“Look, I’m not going to lie when I hear they’re doing something, and they haven’t approached me. You think, ‘Well I would have liked you to’, but it’s their choice. I’m not bitter – much,” the music mogul added.
