Former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya has won his latest legal round against model Angelica Cecora after an appeals court threw out her lawsuit.
The former Maxim beauty filed a $5 million (£3.2 million) suit against De La Hoya last year (12) over claims the sports star imprisoned her in his New York City hotel room during a drug-fuelled sex romp in 2011.
She lost the case and was ordered to pay the 40 year old's legal fees, as well as a fine for what Justice Paul Wooten described as an attempt to "harass or maliciously injure" De La Hoya.
Cecora challenged the ruling and on Tuesday (21May13), the retired athlete again emerged victorious after lawmakers at Manhattan's Appellate Division determined her allegations of emotional distress, false imprisonment and assault were "baseless" and "without merit," according to the New York Post.
