Veteran entertainer Paul Anka is celebrating his sixth decade in the music industry with a new all-star duets album, featuring collaborations with Dolly Parton, Celine Dion, Willie Nelson and Patti Labelle.
The legendary singer/songwriter has also added his vocals to Frank Sinatra's classic tune My Way and Tom Jones' She's a Lady - both of which were penned by Anka - as well as Michael Jackson's posthumous 2009 single, This Is It, which the old pals wrote in the 1980s under the title, I Never Heard.
Anka, 71, also hit the studio with fellow Canadian Michael Buble, music legend Leon Russell and Gloria Estefan, and recorded a cover of his song Walk A Fine Line with George Benson and Michael MCDonald.
Introducing the tracks in the album's liner notes, Anka writes, "Throughout the history of music there have been all kinds of songs; to me, the classics still reign supreme. This endeavor, these songs, will be easy on your ears; they are the stuff that love and life is all about."
Duets is set for release on 9 April (13) - the same day his previously-announced memoirs, My Way: An Autobiography, hits retailers.
