Paula Patton is confused by the uproar over Miley Cyrus Twerking on her husband.

The former Disney star has attracted an avalanche of criticism for gyrating her butt against Robin Thicke in a flesh coloured latex bikini at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last month, but Paula insists she was and is perfectly comfortable with the whole routine.

During an appearance on TV show 'Watch What Happens Live', she said: ''Did they think Miley was gonna sit down and play piano? I don't really know what the big deal is I don't understand - I didn't get the big deal! I don't know how not to dance with your booty! Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand''

Although actress Paula was fine with the risqué performance of Robin's 'Blurred Lines', his mother is less than impressed.

Gloria Loring previously said: ''I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this. Oh, Lord, have mercy.

''I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son. The problem is now I can never 'unsee' it.

''I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I just don't understand.''

While not a fan of Miley's moves, Gloria was proud of her son's effort and referee styled costume.

She added: ''Him? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit.''
