Zadora, as the Las Vegas Sun reports, was thrown from a golf cart driven by her 17-year-old son Jordan as it made a left turn into a street. Zadora was close to the family's home in Summerlin, Nevada when the incident occurred and is currently receiving treatment at the Las Vegas University Medical Center.

Her husband, Mike Jeffries, speaking to the aforementioned newspaper, said Zadora suffered a compound fracture on her right ankle and a head injury. The head injury was evidently severe as reports claim it has led to bleeding on the brain and Zadora is currently in an intensive care unit. Zadora is apparently slipping in and out of consciousness but her condition is improving, Jeffries told the paper.

Zadora rose to fame during the 1980s when she appeared in a series of unsuccessful films and her performances were panned by critics. She went on to have a relatively successful music career and has recently been performing in Las Vegas at Piero's Italian Restaurant and in a musical revue entitled Pia Reloaded.
