Teenager Jake Taylor is of the most popular kids in school, he's attractive, smart, has an attractive girlfriend and to top things off a basketball scholarship. Things are pretty sweet in his life, but Jake wasn't always the popular kid, in first school he was just another normal kid who spent all of his time with best friend Roger, the boys were inseparable until Jake's popularity began to push Roger out of his life.

Now in highs school and Roger feeling he's nothing to live for, he commits suicide. Jake is hit hard by the tragedy and a question keeps on haunting him 'could I have saved Roger?', it's apparent to Jake that things need to change and he feels the need to reach out to teenagers in similar outcast positions that Roger found himself in. As Jake fulfils his desire to help other kids in his year, it becomes more apparent that he risks losing his friends, scholarship and social standing.
