Reese Witherspoon is a mother for the third time, as she and husband Jim Toth welcomed baby boy Tennessee James into the world, US Weekly confirmed today.

Tennessee James is the pair’s first child, with the actress being mother to daughter Ava, 12, and son Deacon, 8, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Having divorced each other in 2006 following seven years of marriage, she and Toth, a CAA agent, tied the knot in March 2011 at the actress' $10 million ranch in Ojai, California after over a year together.

Back in March, a source close to the pair admitted they she was a little apprehensive about having another child, however Toth’s ease at getting along with her two children all but made up her mind. The source then revealed that Reese had become taken with the idea of settling down with Toth and wanted to start a family with him.

The pregnancy was a working one for the Oscar-winning actress, who filmed the upcoming The Devil's Knot throughout July, braving the scorching summer heat during the filming process. Once filming was finished though, the actress retreated into obscurity so she could endure the final weeks of her pregnancy in peace, and is expected to remain in this bubble until she feels she is able to begin working again.
