Come get some

Rooster have been compared to everyone from Busted to Aerosmith and on a deaf day you might be inclined to agree, but the truth is these London boys just sound a bit like Westlife with a guitar.

Frontman, we’ll call him ‘quite sexy rooster’ is worth flicking on Top of the Pops to watch; his soulful, almost gritty vocal is mature beyond his years and could really blossom into something spectacular. The rest of the band aren’t bad either, in fact they’re really good and could make it as a stand alone ‘non-boy band’ band, but unfortunately they’ve already been tempted.

Rooster - Come Get Some - Single Review

On a positive note, Rooster are encouraging the next generation to appreciate music made by real people and instruments which can only be a good thing.

‘Come get some’ is probably the strongest track these boys will have apart from maybe a heartfelt ballad around Christmas. There is nothing new here and it looks like bands like Busted have thrown open the floodgates to their ‘esque’ bands.

5/10
