Seriously? These guys have never been named Sexiest Man Alive?
So Dwayne Johnson was named People's Sexiest Man Alive this year; a decision that has been the source of both praise and confusion. Praise because he's an excellent role model with enormous muscles and because he's mixed race, and confusion because all the obvious choices haven't been exhausted yet.
Here are ten more Hollywood heartthrobs who deserve to be named 'Sexiest Man Alive' sooner rather than later.
Leonardo Dicaprio at the 2016 Oscars
1. Leonardo DiCaprio: It's been nearly 20 years since Leo stole our hearts in 'Titanic', but at 42-years-old, his boyish looks have given way to a rugged charm that we are continuously falling for. It actually gives him more appeal that he doesn't mind roughing it up for movie roles these days; he's not exactly eye candy in 'Django Unchained' and 'The Revenant' but those eyes have always sparkled the same way.
Jamie Foxx at the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ And Note5 celebration, 2015
2. Jamie Foxx: People's Sexiest Man Alive feature is frequently criticized for almost always using white stars (the only exceptions being 1996's Denzel Washington and Dwayne Johnson this year) and it's impossible to understand why when Hollywood has Jamie Foxx. At 48, he still looks about 38 and has one of the most shiver-inducing singing voices of the 21st century. His name says it all; he's a stone cold fox.
Michael Fassbender at the 2016 Oscars
3. Michael Fassbender: Who do ya have to play to get a Sexiest Man Alive title around here?! Surely, it's about time this Oscar nominated star was given the title. Michael Fassbender: the man who made Steve Jobs, Macbeth and Magneto sexy. Few can beat the 39-year-old's natural Irish charisma.
Jason Momoa at 'Suicide Squad' premiere
4. Jason Momoa: Even after he's appeared topless in 'Game Of Thrones', 'Conan the Barbarian' and 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', somehow this 37-year-old Honolulu hottie has never caught People magazine's eye. And if his abs aren't enough to convince you, those dramatic eyebrows and long sweep of hair surely must. We'll see what happens after 'Aquaman'.
Ryan Gosling at TIFF's 'La La Land' premiere
5. Ryan Gosling: It's strange to think now that he was chosen for 2004's 'The Notebook' because producers didn't want anybody too attractive. They couldn't have been more wrong. This 36-year-old star has since become a real Hollywood heartthrob; he's literally gone from gosling to swan.
Gael Garcia Bernal at 'Neruda' premiere
6. Gael García Bernal: If you don't know who this guy is, let us fill you in; he's the Mexican star of 'Mozart in the Jungle', 'Rosewater' and 'The Science of Sleep', and he's also a perfect ten. The handsome 37-year-old is ageing gracefully, plus he's got one of the most inviting smiles you will ever see.
Bruno Mars outside Kiss FM studios
7. Bruno Mars: At 31 he might be on the younger end of the Sexiest Man Alive spectrum but this Filipino-Puerto Rican adonis is the number one crush of so many people. His dashing good looks have even been a source of annoyance for Kanye West, namely when Mars won a bunch of MTV VMAs in 2013 and West thought it was just because he was 'the prettiest motherf***er'. No Kanye, it's because his voice is caramel.
Jared Leto at the 2016 Met Gala
8. Jared Leto: Eye candy comes in many forms, and sometimes it comes in the form of a long-haired, long-eyelashed, doe-eyed rocker actor who was at his most sexy as a woman in 'Dallas Buyers Club' and as Angel Face in 'Fight Club'. He may be 44-years-old, but he's still yet to crack.
Jon Bon Jovi live in London, 2016
9. Jon Bon Jovi: The Bon Jovi frontman looks amazing at 54-years-old, and while we much appreciate his silver fox magic, we definitely think the rockstar deserved to win the title of Sexiest Man Alive when he was at his peak. He should have been the first ever Sexiest Man Alive.
Tom Hardy at 'The Revenant' premiere
10. Tom Hardy: Because he doesn't usually like to opt for traditionally 'hot guy' roles, we get a bit confused about our feelings for Tom Hardy. We can't say Charles Bronson or Bane in 'The Dark Knight Rises' did him any favours, or even his stint as bearded Jewish gangster Alfie Solomons in 'Peaky Blinders', but he proved to be dreamboat material in 'Mad Max: Fury Road', 'Child 44' and, if we're honest, 'Legend'.
