Star WarsSecret Cinema is headed to a galaxy far, far away

Writing on twitter, Secret Cinema’s organisers announced they would be presenting the sci-fi classic in London this summer, from June to August, with tickets going on sale later this month.

As usual, little else is known about the event with the exact location being kept under wraps for the time being. “We are gathering those that believe in the Force by reinstating the importance of romance, adventure and mystery in this high-speed world,” they added.

Last year, Back to the Future was the subject of the Secret Cinema’s ambitious event, but it unfortunately ran into problems just hours before its first showing. A series of screenings in Hackney ended up being cancelled with hours to spare, angering thousands of ticket holders who had paid over £50 to attend the performance.

Tickets for Secret Cinema presents Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back go on sale March 18th at 1pm. You can find more details on the Secret Cinema’s website.
