Rian Johnson looks set to enjoy huge success with his upcoming 'Star Wars' movie, 'The Last Jedi'. Critics have been taking to their social media accounts after the embargo was lifted on them making their initial impressions taken from the movie known, and the overwhelming majority are promising one of the best romps through space there has ever been.

Whilst not much is known about the plot set to be followed in 'The Last Jedi', we do know that Daisy Ridley's character Rey will be successful in her quest of finding the self-exiled Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), whilst John Boyega's own character Finn will be waking up from his coma, following the intense battle he partook in during the final events of J.J. Abrams-directed seventh episode, 'The Force Awakens'.

What's going to be particularly interesting for the biggest fans of the franchise is exactly how Leia's story continues, following the sad passing of the brilliant Carrie Fisher towards the end of 2016.

Germain Lussier, who serves as an entertainment reporter for both Gizmodo and io9 wrote on his Twitter: "I can't believe The Last Jedi exists. @rianjohnson is a madman and I love him for it. He takes Star Wars to the edge and throws it over. What a crazy, awesome movie. We'll be talking about this one for a long, long time."

Meanwhile, IGN entertainment journalist Terri Schwartz focused on one particular scene from the movie, writing on her own account: "There's a scene in #StarWars #TheLastJedi that I keep playing over and over in my head, that is so stunning and unexpected that I don't want to forget how I felt seeing it for the first time. This movie feels unlike any other Star Wars movie in all the ways I hoped."

The consensus is clear amongst the legions of critics that have been lucky enough to see the film early, and should surely push those fans who haven't yet pre-ordered their tickets to go and see the movie to make the jump and do just that. With a projected $200 million opening in North America alone and a heck of a lot more money to be made across the globe, we imagine this could be one of, if not the biggest movie of 2017. A late entry into the running, but one that won't take its time in claiming success.
