The Scarface actor Steven Bauer has been arrested for driving with a suspended license, The Huffington Post have reported. The 52 year-old actor, whose real name is Steven Ernest Echevarria, was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail early yesterday morning (December 18, 2012) after being stopped in Sweetwater for making an improper left turn.

When the cops stopped Bauer, they ran a check on his license and found an open 12 year old warrant, so they hauled him in. It’s not currently known if he has an attorney. Bauer, who’s famous for playing the role of Manny Ribera in the 1983 movie Scarface, for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Since making his name in Scarface, Bauer has primarily featured in action movies and crime dramas, such as Primal Fear and Traffic. He also landed a role playing a drug lord in the popular TV drama Breaking Bad, though he has never quite managed to regain the success that he found in 1983 with Scarface.

Sadly, Steve Bauer appears to be one of a slew of actors who assume that having your name in the rolling credits of a movie somehow makes you exempt from adhering to US driving laws.
