Steven Spielberg ordered Megan Fox removed from 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon ' after she compared its director to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
Steven Spielberg ordered Megan Fox to be fired from 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon '.
The film's producer - who is Jewish - was outraged when the actress gave an interview saying director Michael Bay was like Nazi leader Adolf Hitler on his movie sets, and insisted she was dropped from the third instalment of the trilogy, despite the filmmaker insisting he wasn't offended by the comments.
Michael said: "You know the Hitler thing. Steven said, 'Fire her right now.' "
The 25-year-old actress - who was replaced on the film by British model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whitley - had claimed she left the project to pursue other roles.
After she departed the film, crew members were less than complimentary about the star.
In a letter posted on Michael's website, one wrote: "Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses' life.
"He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in 'Transformers', a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth. She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina - second thought - she's no Angelina. You see, Angelia is a professional (sic).
"We know this quite intimately because we've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies (sic)."
Screenwriter Ehren Kruger also said that when she arrived at rehearsals for 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon', Megan didn't appear interested in the film.
