Veteran rocker Sting is set to revive his flop musical The Last Ship for a one-off concert performance in New York City next week (beg02Mar15).
The Police star's show closed last month (Jan15) after a brief run on Broadway, and he even took on a role in the production himself in a last-ditch attempt to boost flagging ticket sales.
Sting is set to revive the musical for a string of performances in his native north east England in April (15) to raise money for charity, but he is set to bow out of New York with one final show before heading home.
The musician and The Last Ship's cast will take to the stage at the 54 Below venue in Manhattan on Monday (02Mar15) for a special concert performance, and he will be joined by his longtime friend Jimmy Nail, the singer/actor Sting replaced in the show.
