Retired movie and TV star Stuart Whitman has wed a woman younger than his kids. It's the third marriage for the 78-year-old THE LONGEST DAY star, who is famous for his rugged good looks. And Whitman insists his 32-year-old Russian bride, JULIA PARDIZE, has given him a new lease of life - and now he's considering an acting comeback. He says, "My life's just great. I couldn't be happier." Whitman met Pardize at a friend's wedding in St Petersburg, Russia, and the submarine captain's daughter kept in touch with the movie veteran. Then, in 2004, she started living with the actor as she chased her dream of an American education in Santa Barbara, California. Whitman adds, "We didn't fall in love right away. It took a while. I'd had two divorces and I was very cagey about falling in love with anybody. It kind of crept up on us." The actor proposed to Pardize on Christmas Eve (24DEC05) and the pair wed in a quiet ceremony in Santa Barbara on 5 March (06).
