Taylor Kinney proposed to Lady GaGa using a candy ring.

The 33-year-old actor - who got engaged to the 'Do What U Want' hitmaker on Valentine's Day (14.02.15) - couldn't help but play a prank on his girlfriend.

She said: ''First he gave me a Ring Pop. That was kind of amazing and I was crying, I was so excited.

''I said, 'Yes!' right away and then he pulled out the heart-shaped diamond. First it was candy. I was happy with the candy.

The 28-year-old singer has admitted that ''everything [is] better'' since the pair agreed to wed.

She told Access Hollywood: ''It makes everything better. When you're in love and have love it makes everything better.''

But fans were left disappointed at Sunday (22.02.15) night's Oscars when the ring was hidden from view as Gaga accessorised her Azzedine Alaïa gown with red gloves.

She explained: ''Mr. Alaïa designed the gloves before we got engaged and I wanted to keep the look exactly as he envisioned it.''

Despite being excited about the proposal, the 'Pokerface' hitmaker has admitted she has had no time to think about the wedding and instead was preparing for her performance at the show.

She told Extra: ''You know we haven't even begun to talk about the wedding, I've been so focused on the Oscars and this performance, I really put my heart into this tribute performance.''
