Taylor Swift and Amy Poehler Start Newest Celebrity Feud

There seems to be a reluctant feud boiling up in the world of celebrity: Taylor Swift and Amy Poehler are subtly trading blows in the press, veiled thinly under compliments but biting nevertheless.

It all started when Poehler and her comedy cohort Tina Fey took a wee dig at Swift at the 2013 Grammy Awards. "stay away from Michael J. Fox's son” they quipped, making the country-pop singer one of the only people not to enjoy their work that night. "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people," Swift told Vanity Fair when they asked about the joke. "Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved that said, ‘There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.'" Poehler’s response was humble, though, as she clearly doesn’t want another #1 hit being written about her. "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset," she said. "I am a feminist and she is a young and talented girl. "That being said, I do agree I am going to hell," the comedian added. "But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

In fact, Swift took her opportunity with Vanity Fair to deal with some issues that have been bothering her, specifically about feminism. "For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that's taking something that potentially should be celebrated -- a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way -- that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist."
