It's here, and it's stunning.
Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar was not a combination we ever thought we'd see, but with their collaboration on 'Bad Blood' - alongside a host of other celebrities in the hotly anticipated video - seems this pop starlet is ever expanding her much-loved sound.

There might be a whole action movie vibe to the video, which opened at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards yesterday (May 17th 2015), but there's not much to it in terms of plot. It opens with Catastrophe (Taylor Swift) and Arsyn (Selena Gomez) seemingly working together to defeat a horde of masked assassins, before Arsyn - with her eyes on the prize - takes out Catastrophe too. Then she finds herself at Welvin Da Great's (Kendrick Lamar) headquarters being - for want of a better word - 'repaired' by The Trinity (Hailee Steinfeld x3) before rallying her army of scantily clad beauties to go against her newfound enemy.

Producer Swift was not afraid to bring on board some of her closest pals in the Joseph Kahn directed video, including bezzies Gomez and Ellie Goulding with whom she celebrated International Women's Day earlier this year. She also invited Victoria's Secret models Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt and Lily Aldridge, who she's probably become good pals with since her repeated musical appearances at the annual VS Fashion Show. Then there was Jessica Alba, who Swift met on the set of 2010 rom-com 'Valentine's Day', and Hayley Williams, who made an appearance at Swift's Nashville show in 2011. She also spreads the feminism far and wide with the introduction of outspoken 'Girls' star Lena Dunham as Welvin Da Great's assistant Lucky Fiori. Other stars were Cindy Crawford, Zendaya, Mariska Hargitay, Cara Delevingne, Serayah, GiGi Hadid and Ellen Pompeo.

'Bad Blood' is the fourth single from Swift's number one 2014 album '1989', which she is currently promoting with her 2015 world tour. The first US leg begins soon and will feature support from Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes. But if the song doesn't do it for you, the over-the-top sci-fi thriller visual certainly will; it has everything you could want from badass firearms to copious amounts of leather and latex.

Either way, this coupled with Swift's extraordinary award collection at the Billboards, truly made sure yesterday was all about her. Plus, she's even made history, now having hoarded a round 20 awards in her career so far and becoming Billboard's most awarded artist. Yesterday she made Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist and the fan-voted Billboard Chart Achievement Award to name but a few.
