The Academy Is ... are one of the most popular Fueled By Ramen bands & quite rightly so. The band were originally signed after Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz recommended the band to the label executives. Their debut album Almost Here was released in February of 2005 and their second album Santi was released earlier this year, to much critical acclaim from fans and critics alike.

We caught up with lead vocalist William Beckett at this years Leeds Carling Weekend. Other than learning Will is obviously a lot better and more loyal friend that Gabe from Cobra Starship, we also found out about recording the last album, their constant touring situation and the differences between playing over here in the UK and America.
