Tori Spelling has no regrets about airing her marriage troubles on her reality TV show.

The 'True Tori' star, who was devastated when her husband of six years Dean McDermott, 48, cheated on her late last year, admits her ''life has been very public,'' but believes she has a better relationship with her fans as a result.

The 41-year-old former 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress said: ''I feel like I've always had a good connection with my fans and everyone out there. I'm very open and honest about my life. My life has been very public, and it's hard to keep things private. I'd rather get the truth out there than have people write what they think the truth is.''

Tori insists she is glad she let a camera crew into their home to document their issues.

She told PEOPLE.com:''It was my way of making sure that if people are going to make up stories, I'm going to tell them exactly how it is so they don't have their chance to do that.''

The couple, who have four children together, Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, three, and Finn, two, are determined to stay together and are looking forward to a quiet family Christmas.

Tori said: ''We're working really hard at our relationship and our family. We are truly committed to each other.''
