Travis Barker has opened up about the plane crash which almost killed him.
The Blink-182 rocker was one of only two survivors when a Learjet 60 carrying him and five others crashed in South Carolina in 2008 and Travis revealed he caught fire ''from my legs all the way to my back''.
Writing in his book, 'Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums,' Travis said: ''I panicked. I pulled the handle on the emergency exit and kicked the door open. I jumped out - right into the jet wing, which was filled with fuel. My whole body got covered with fuel and caught fire, from my legs all the way to my back. I started running. As I ran, I took off my shirt, I took off my hat, I took off my shorts - but I couldn't get the fire off me. I was naked, moving as fast as I could, holding my genitals - everything else was on fire - and I kept running, hoping that would put out the flames. At that moment, I felt like I was running for my family. I didn't care about anything except being with my kids, my father, my sister, Shanna...I didn't think I was going to survive.''
Travis, who has son Landon, 12, and daughter Alabama, nine, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, previously admitted surviving the horrific plane crash inspired him to stop using drugs, including Xanax, Vicodin and Oxycontin.
He said: ''I've done more drugs than I'd like to say and my memory sucks.''
Travis had to undergo 27 surgeries after the crash, which killed his assistant Chris Baker and bodyguard Che Still, and refuses to take pain medication afterwards in a bid to curb his addiction.
He told Us Weekly: ''I went from being a little punk abusing stuff to having a second chance at life. I didn't want to take advantage of it. Being sober is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
''My son is like, 'It's good that you're sober, Dad. It shows you can be a bona fide rock star and don't need to be a drug addict.''
