Actor Val Kilmer has cleared up reports about his health after he was hospitalised in Los Angeles earlier this week (beg26Jan15).
Sources suggested The Doors star was admitted to UCLA Medical Center with a suspected tumour in his throat, but he has now spoken out about the 'health emergency', assuring fans the drama was blown out of proportion.
In a post on his Facebook.com page, the 55 year old writes, "I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operation, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the Ucla Icu (Intensive Care Unit)."
Kilmer didn't release any more details about his condition, but concluded his post by writing, "God bless you all and please don't worry. Love and deep affection."
His publicist Liz Rosenberg says, "I do not have an official diagnosis at this time. He is with his two children, Mercedes and Jack."
