He's not known to shy away from challenging themes, and East London rapper Dutchavelli's latest song 'Cool With Me' featuring M1llionz is certainly no different as he raps about the world of crime that has encircled his life since he was a teenager.
Produced by The FaNaTiX for the 2Up2Down label, the video has been directed by Nathan James Tettey and sees Dutchavelli (real name Stephan Allen) at his most real. Indeed, he's been as candid as you can possibly imagine since he dropped his epic track 'Only If You Knew' following his release from prison for the second time in his life.
His name may sound familiar because he happens to be the brother of award-winning popstar Stephanie Allen, more commonly known as Stefflon Don. He got his street name "Dutch" and later "Dutchavelli" thanks to the accent he picked up will living in the Netherlands as a child, despite being born in Birmingham.
He released his debut single 'New Jack City' back in 2016, and has since gone on to work with the likes of Tion Wayne, Stormzy, M Huncho, GZUZ and Noizy. He's racked up more than 30 million Spotify streams, 17 million YouTube views as well as an award for Breakthrough of the Year at the 2020 Rated Awards.
Yet the 26-year-old has yet to drop his debut mixtape - but rest assured it's well on its way.
