K-Pop's freshest boy band sensation ENHYPEN release their latest single, and accompanying video, for 'Let Me In (20CUBE)'. The seven winners of the reality TV show 'I-Land'(2020) Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki have not spared any time in building their fan base since the show's finale.
After completing the filming of 'I-Land' on September 18th the young men have been quick to capitalise on the popularity of the programme and the phenomenal following they have all built as a consequence. Manufacturing boy bands, or girl bands for that matter, is nothing new, you can trace it all back to The Monkees and beyond, but the efficiency and slickness of the South Korean's takes it to another level.
Simon Cowell has a lot to answer for but he could only dream of getting a fraction of some of the figures that ENHYPEN have already generated. The boy band's debut six track EP, 'Border: Day One', sold over 300,000 copies on it's first day of release and the viewing figures for this video on YouTube alone have already surpassed 2.5 million in the first 24 hours.
These are incredible numbers that have propelled ENHYPEN, a name chosen to denote "Connection, Discovery, & Growth", to super stardom in a matter of a few months. 'Let Me In (20 CUBE)' is pure pop, polished to perfection and as sterile as an operating room.
The seven young men, mainly shot in their matching over sized outfits, are all choreographed to perfection in the video for the song. "I'll be your boyfriend" is the message and I'm sure that there's many a teenager out there that wishes they were.
