Wolfmother Dimension Single

Even before listening to this single I had heard a lot about Wolfmother, the talk around this band has been something if not amazing. Recently seen in the build up hype of Arctic Monkeys, and I believe that they live up to this calling, receiving single of the week from Radio Ones JK & Joel and securing a set on the main stage of the Carling Reading & Leeds weekends. Back in their native Australia "Wolfmother" debuted at number 3 on the charts, won the Album Of The Year award from The National alternative radio network Triple J, and was quickly certified platinum.
The single grabs influences from AC/DC, The Doors and The Beatles, mash it all up, add some classic Osbourne Sabbath vocals and they have produced a sound on "Dimension" that will take you by storm. I truly think Wolfmother will be around for a while and they are the sort of band you will not be able to miss.

"Dimension" kicks in with a short rock scream before your taken into the song by thumping drums and rolling bass. Their classic rock style has been tweaked and tuned to fit into any of today's charts and I can see this single going a long way to introduce them to the UK.

4/5
