Queen Beyoncé continues her reign over everything but this time she hasn’t pulled out a phenomenal song or showcased another beautiful bump. Instead Bey has Facetimed a fan suffering from cancer after responding to a social media campaign aimed at getting the meetup to happen.

The 35-year-old singer and all-round idol spoke to teenager Ebony Banks who has been battling a rare form of cancer.

The hashtag #EbobMeetsBeyonce was started up after the youngster said it had been her lifelong dream to meet her "idol".

Ebony, who is also known as Ebob, said speaking to the Crazy In Love superstar star would be a final wish come true.

Speaking about her dream - which was realised on Wednesday (22 March) - Ebony said: "She’s like my everything and my idol.

"And if I ever met her I would probably pass out."

Ebony’s school friends started the social media campaign in a bid to get Bey’s attention and their persistence paid off when the pregnant mum found out about the plan.

Female First reported that one of Ebony's friends, Karina Gutierrez, explained the group had tried Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce’s attention.

She said: "Beyoncé is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we're trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyoncé's attention."

Another pal, Cristal Depaz, added: "We try to make sure she has a smile on her face and to make her wishes come true."

A video of the former Destiny's Child band member - who shares five-year-old Blue Ivy with husband, Jay Z - conversing with Ebony has since been shared on social media, which sees Beyoncé wave and smile at Ebony before declaring her love to her.

In the clip, which has gone viral, Beyoncé said: "I love you."
