Andre 3000 is suffering from severe stage fright and is worried that his solo album, which will be released in 2014, may not live up to expectations, according to his long-time friend Cee Lo Green.
Andre 3000 is suffering from stage fright, according to Cee Lo Green.
The 38-year-old musician - one half of hip-hop duo OutKast, who released their last album in 2006 - is planning on releasing a new solo album in early 2014 and is worried that it may not live up to expectations.
Cee Lo said: ''He [Andre] just said he had a severe case of stage fright and has just kind of been away from the game and didn't know if he could truly live up... ah, I just feel like I'm talking to much personal stuff. I hope he don't mind.
''He just said he was bothered by this bar that had been set and maybe he wants to do something different, and he'll always be his worst competition, his worst critic and maybe he don't want to live up to what people think he should do.''
Cee Lo and Andre - whose real name is Andre Benjamin - have been friends since childhood and the recent death of Andre's mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, and Cee Lo's grandmother brought the long-time friends even closer.
Cee Lo explained on 'RapFix Live': ''I've known 'Dre since the third grade and it was just on my spirit really heavy to just reach out to him and speak to him.''
