What’s an arena tour without a documentary to commemorate it? Beyonce and Jay Z are making sure to stay anchored in the public eye long after their current run ends, by recording a TV special for HBO. It’s an extension of an existing partnership, which currently includes Beyonce: X10, a series of ten 4-minute episodes, currently airing before True Blood, as well as Jay Z's Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film, which premiered on HBO last August.

Beyonce, Jay Z - power couple doesn't even begin to describe it.

The recordings for On The Run, the HBO special will take place at the pair’s gigs at Paris' Stade de France on September 12 and 13. The recording will include 40 songs off Bey and Jay’s catalogue, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This is the first time the media-savvy couple are touring together and so, a major marketing opportunity for HBO.

"This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO," Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming, said for THR. "It's going to be a night to remember."

The Paris dates will mark the conclusion of the pair’s current run, which also includes 19 dates across the US. It started on June 26 in Miami and the last stateside gig will be in Central Park, NYC.

So it looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of the Carters in the coming months. Any objections? Didn't think so.
