X-men Filmmaker Bryan Singer Is Developing A Movie Adaptation Of Jules Verne's Classic Novel 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
Singer recently wrapped production on the latest instalment of the blockbuster comic book franchise with X-Men: Apocalypse, and on Thursday (17Sep15), he announced he has already got another big project in the works.
He took to Instagram.com and posted a shot of a script for his version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which he co-wrote, and added the caption: "It's my 50th birthday (ouch), and I just put the finishing touches on the script for my next film. A story I’ve wanted to retell since childhood.
"I promise this will be an epic and emotional adventure for all ages! An adventure very dear to my heart. Not abandoning the #xmen universe. Very excited about #xmenapocalypse and beyond."
The sci-fi adventure story about the mysterious Captain Nemo and his underwater vessel, the Nautilus, was previously adapted into a 1954 Disney film, starring Kirk Douglas and James Mason.
