Charlize Theron is ''open'' to having more children.

The 'Mad Max: Fury Road' actress - who recently adopted a second child called August - has said she ''never planned to have just one'' child and she said ''we'll see'' with regards to having more.

The blonde beauty, who also has three-year-old son, Jackson - who she adopted before she split up with Sean Penn - also said being a mother has changed her ''in every way'' possible, but it's ''still very hard'' for her to leave the house because she ''just loves being with him [Jackson]''.

Asked if motherhood has changed her life, she told the Mirror newspaper's Notebook magazine: ''Oh, in every way - for the better, definitely. Being a mother is amazing. Jackson is doing great. It's still very hard for me to leave the house, because I just love being with him.''

Meanwhile, on how it feels to be turning 40 on Friday (07.08.15) Charlize said: ''I love it. I love being the age I am. I would not want to go back to my 20s. there are only two things we know for sure in life - that we're going to die and age, so what are we going to do about it? Some people have botox and that's great. Hopefully I'll be ok.''
