The Foo Fighters frontman axed a prestigious headline set at the iconic event last month (Jun15) after falling offstage in Gothenburg, Sweden and breaking his right leg.

The band was replaced on the bill by Florence + The MAChine, and fans later speculated that festival boss Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily, who co-manages the event, have already signed Grohl and his bandmates up for next year (16) instead, but the star has slammed the rumour as "complete bulls**t".

He tells Q magazine, "All of those stories about me talking to Michael Eavis are complete bulls**t. I've never spoken to, met, or even contacted him in my life. I sent one email to Emily and her husband, apologising for missing the event, and she invited me to come back someday, even just to camp out and watch the show for the weekend.

"I read all of those articles saying we confirmed for next year and just laughed. Total f**king bulls**t. Of course, I'd love to come back and play Glastonbury! But don't believe everything you read, kids..."
