To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of 1993 album, In Utero, Nirvana will release their original album remastered featuring more than 70 remixed, rare, live and unreleased recorded tracks, reports Spin. The so-called "Super-Deluxe Edition" will be available on a number of different formats, including digital download, single remastered CD, triple-vinyl LP set, and a four disc version that comprises of three CDs and one DVD.

The DVD will show live footage form Nirvana's 13th December 1993 Seattle "Live and Loud" show and will be available to purchase on its own from 24th September. Although track listings for each format have yet to be confirmed, but Nirvana fans will be excited to finally see long-awaited footage of the band's pivotal show.

Record company Universal announced the news of the upcoming reissue by digging up and posting the 1993 In Utero commercial, which depicts actor Bobcat Goldthwait in drag as the band "give birth" to a shower of baby dolls.

At the time of In Utero's release, Rolling Stones' David Fricke was in awe of the three-piece's grunge accomplishment, describing the record as "brilliant, corrosive, enraged and thoughtful, most of them all at once. But more than anything, it's a triumph of the will."

Having formed in 1987 by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain, Nirvana rose out of the Seattle grunge scene and would release three studio albums before Cobain's 1994 suicide. Their legacy lived on through the hoardes of devoted fans and a series of reissues overseen by drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and Cobain's widow Courtney Love.
