British Actor David Harewood And Musician Tinie Tempah Have Lent Their Support To A Campaign Urging Ethnic Minorities To Register To Vote In The U.k.'S Upcoming General Election.
The former Homeland star and the British rapper feature in a poster campaign for Operation Black Vote, which encourages minority groups to make their voices heard by casting a ballot on polling day on 7 May (15).
In the poster, the black stars appear covered in white powder next to the slogan, "If you don't register to vote, you're taking the colour out of Britain".
Harewood also stars in an online campaign video which shows a make-up artist applying the white powder to his face.
He says, "I know you don't feel represented by politicians, but the thing is, if you're not registered then they won't ever listen. It's a chicken and egg, because as soon as you register, they listen. You matter... and the more blacks and Asians register to vote, the better our voices will be heard. And the better our voices will be heard, the more we'll be represented."
