There's something about the idea of a 'team' in movies that people can't get enough of. Whether it's 'The Avengers' or 'Scooby-Doo', there's an appeal to watching a group of friends band together to save the world, and that's one of the things Elizabeth Banks loved most about working on 'Power Rangers'.

Everyone loves a lone-wolf, but its the famous 'teams' of history that tend to stick in our mind. They're there in every genre; 'Stand By Me', 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Three Musketeers', 'Harry Potter'; and 'Power Rangers' are taking that theme to its fullest extent with the eagerly anticipated reboot directed by Dean Israelite.

'I grew up on movies - 'The Goonies' or even 'Star Wars' - where it was all about team-building and groups and friends', says Elizabeth Banks. 'On Power Rangers you get to fight bad guys with your friends and I feel like that's what being young is all about. The revolution of being young and figuring out how to own your own power. I love that as a theme.'

In the movie, Elizabeth Banks isn't part of a team herself as such; she plays Rita Repulsa, the Power Rangers' deadly alien nemesis with whom they have a run in not long after first receiving their superpowers from their newfound master Zordon (played by Bryan Cranston).

Also among the cast of 'Power Rangers' are Dacre Montgomery as Jason (Red Ranger), Naomi Scott as Kimberly (Pink Ranger), RJ Cyler as Billy (Blue Ranger), Ludi Lin as Zack (Black Ranger) and Becky G. as Trini (Yellow Ranger).
