The Game of Thrones star exposes her body often while playing Daenerys Targaryen in the hit TV fantasy and she did not want to be typecast as an actress who strips off, so she turned down the coveted role of Anastasia Steele in the 2015 movie adaptation of E.L. James' racy book.

She tells Britain's Marie Claire magazine, "I really wanted to work with (director) Sam Taylor-Johnson because she's f**king amazing. But there is a huge amount of nudity in the film. I'll never say 'I'm never doing nudity,' because I've already done it, but I thought I might get stuck in a pigeonhole that I would have struggled to get out of."

The role subsequently went to Dakota Johnson.
