Actor Eric Christian Olsen is to wed his longtime girlfriend.
The Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd star has proposed to Sarah Wright and the two have already made arrangements to exchange vows in a refurbished barn in Wyoming.
During an appearance on U.S. chat show The Talk on Tuesday (25Oct11), he confirmed, "I met the one. When I met her, I was like, 'This is the girl'. The save the dates (cards) are in the mail. We are doing it at... this barn. My dad, my brother and I... spent the last four years redoing it... We're putting in electricity and plumbing and then we're going to do the ceremony on this bluff that kind of overlooks the Teton Mountains."
Olsen admits his proposal was far from ordinary, revealing he spent much of his time trying to surprise his soon-to-be fiancee.
He continued, "We had been together for four years, and everyone knew... that it (a proposal) was coming. And I hated that idea that she knew it was coming because I wanted it to be a magical thing. So her birthday was coming and her parents were like, 'This is going to be it, he's going to propose.' So I got her a watch.
"They were super disappointed. And then I spent the next three months kind of talking about how I didn't know if I wanted to get married, maybe we should just have kids. And she was like trying to find traction with that.
"And so then we went down to Punta Mita, Mexico and we spent this perfect day swimming in the ocean, getting massages... and we have this beautiful meal on the beach and there's this full moon... and I said, 'Nobody makes me laugh more, nobody makes me happier, no one's going to be a better mother, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?'"
