The protagonist Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) in The Girl On The Train is a troubled woman who isn't coping with the divorce from her ex-husband and subsequently becomes involved in the investigation to the murder of Megan Hipwell. In this chilling thriller based on Paula Hawkins' bestselling novel we follow the story of Rachel and her internal battle of being afraid of herself and what she is capable of doing.
Rachel becomes infatuated with a couple who she names Jess and Jason on her daily commute and declares that they have the perfect life until one day she witnesses that the woman has disappeared. Rachel becomes intoxicated in a psychological hysteria with her thoughts and begins to question if she has something to do with the murder of Megan as the police state she was witnessed at the scene. Themes of deep paranoia are dealt with throughout as this multi - layered narrative develops as we find out the truth to what really happened in the murder of Megan Hipwell.
