Star Wars Episode VIII - Announcement Trailer

For the majority of Star Wars fans, Episode 7 ended in just the right place - the first of the latest instalments to the franchise acted as a perfect precursor to a much bigger story. With that said, the loss of at least one of the most loved characters does mean that the story for Episode 8 must deliver a huge punch.

As production begins on the new film, director Rian Johnson teases us and gives us a little reminder of how things are were staged up in the last scene of Episode 7. We see our new hero, Rae, track down and finally meet a slightly wizened Luke for the first time. We still have a long wait ahead to know exactly what our new and old protagonists will get up to together, but after the opening movie delivering such a solid story, we can but hope that December 2017 will offer us another instalment to remember.
